TAUNTON FORGE SCHOOL

All the students in the school visit the Tech Lab every week. We have over 30 computers for the students to use to acquire skills in keyboarding, word processing, desktop publishing, and research. They also use the Lab for CAI (computer assisted instruction). The Lab is often a "Language Lab" where the students use the writing process to produce and publish original work.

Kindergarten and First grade students come to the lab each week during the year. Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade students come for an hour a week. The lab is also open to all classes, when it is available, to come and have extra computer time.

Our many regularly scheduled parent volunteers are invaluable. They help in many ways. Our parents coach, proofread, help with research, and provide much needed one-on-one help wherever needed.
